This workshop helps the student gain an understanding the impact of Java on the World Wide Web
 and its advantages. One will learn to enhance Web pages by creating and including applets.  
 Finally, a solid knowledge of Java's basic syntax and features will be gained

 
Learning Objectives
  · Understand what Java is and how it can       
    benefit Web Application Developers.
  · Create class definitions and methods.
  · Understand the syntax and features of Java.
  · Work with Objects, Classes and Methods.
  · Understands concepts such as inheritance 
    and interfaces.
  · Understand and use the <applet> tag.
  · Create and compile a simple applet
  · Incorporate applets into a web page.
  · Gain experience-using arrays.
  · Gain experience-using conditionals.
  · Gain experience-using loops.
  · Build a basic stand-alone Java application.

Who Should Attend?
    Individuals who are interested in Improve
    existing technical skills, or gain new skills
    for better career opportunities.		 Prerequisites?
  This workshop is designed for participants with
  little programming experience, as well as for  
  students who may have experience with other   
  programming language such as C++, or Visual  
  Basic. It is recommended but not necessary
  that  the individual have some knowledge of  
  HTML tags.

Fee : $1100 ( First 5 to register get $100 
  discount)

Dates/Time: 10 week course  offered one day a  
  week starting Jan  2001. Please choose from 
  one of the following class's.

Information about the instructor

  Khaled Mansour is a computer instructor with 15 years of experience.  He has teaching experience
  in various institutions such as Western Michigan University and Davenport College. Mr. Mansour 
  holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science. In addition to his teaching experience he also has 
  an extensive hands-on experience in Systems Analysis, Design and Programming starting his 
  career as a programmer and rising up to a Technical Architect.
